Epiphone is proud to announce our tribute to Ace Frehley, one of rock's most influential guitarists, with the Epiphone Limited Edition Ace Frehley "Budokan" Les Paul Custom Outfit. Ace's original "Budokan" Les Paul made its stage debut in 1977 during KISS's "Rock and Roll Over" world tour, which helped establish KISS as the #1 live act on the planet.

KISS's Budokan appearances helped make Ace's "Budokan" Les Paul his trademark guitar. Now, Epiphone's signature luthiers who helped create collectable artist models for Slash, Tak Matsumoto and Joe Bonamassa, present perhaps the most talked about signature model yet, the Epiphone Limited Edition Ace Frehley "Budokan" Les Paul Custom Outfit. Unlike Ace's original however, all three humbuckers on Epiphone's Ltd.

Edition "Budokan" Les Paul are wired and ready to go. Like all Les Pauls, Ace's "Budokan" axe features a mahogany body with the same classic lines of the original with Les Paul Custom style multi-binding both on the top and back. And like Ace's original, the Epiphone Ltd. Edition "Budokan" is made with a 3-piece hard maple cap. The new Epiphone Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Goldtop sets a new standard for affordable performance. Traditional '59 Les Paul Construction! Extending well into the neck pickup cavity, the long-neck tenon provides additional strength and stability to the neck and offers more wood-to-wood contact between the neck and body. Also true to it's heritage, the neck features an authentic, 1950's rounded neck profile.

Ultimate Vintage Blues Tone! The classic tone of this new model comes courtesy of Gibson's famed Burstbucker(TM) pickups. BurstBuckers(TM) replicate the sound of Gibson's original "Patent Applied For" pickups - the pickups that gave the '59 Les Paul Standard its legendary sound. The neck pickup is a Burstbucker-2 and is wound in the range of Gibson's '57 Classic.

While most Goldtops feature cream plastic parts and a brown back, the new Bonamassa departs from that tradition with black pickup mounting rings, a black pickguard, black toggle washer and black cavity control covers. The back, sides and neck of the guitar are also black creating a unique and striking Black/Gold combination.
