Looper pedals and sampler pedals work in a similar fashion to delay pedals, except, the repeat time of the echoed signal can be much longer, and can repeat indefinitely, or at least for extended periods of time. Looper sampler pedals can be used in a live environment to build songs up piece by piece, adding percussive backgrounds, rhythm patterns and lead parts.
